.:: INTRODUCTION |
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
ISOC, the University of Surrey Islamic SOCiety, is
the representing body of Muslim students at the University.
ISOC is responsible for arranging the Islamic activities on
campus and ensuring the fulfilment of the religious needs of
the students at the University of Surrey. ISOC is a very
active society as proved by the "Best religious society"
awarded it.
We have regular activities organised throughout
the year.We hope this site will be able to provide some
information for you. To learn Islam, you can contact us or
visit some recommended links, Insha-Allah.
The Islamic Society is an association of Muslim
students which is independent in terms of its functions and,
at the same time, forms part of the University Students'
Union. It is also affiliated to FOSIS, i.e. The Federation
of Students' Islamic Society in UK and Eire.
The Society was established to enable all Muslim
students to participate in various activities that will
promote and cultivate their understandings of the Islamic
way of life and also to foster the spirit of brotherhood
among students of diverse backgrounds and of different
nationalities. The Islamic Society also serves as a
spokesman representing the interests of the Muslim community
on a wide range of issues.
